This fascinating conference led by one of the gurus in play therapy, Dr Gary Landreth will focus on the perceptual world of the child and the dynamic elements of the relationship that facilitate an effective play therapy process. The day will also include spontaneous demonstrations by Dr Landreth dealing with specific problems in the play therapy experience and critique of video tapes of Dr. Landreth’s play therapy sessions.

Dr Garry L Landreth
Internationally known for his writings and work in promoting the development of child-centered play therapy. Regents Professor, Department of Counseling, University of North Texas. Founder of Center for Play Therapy, (play therapy training program in USA). Written more than 150 journal articles, books and videos include award-winning book Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship, (translated into several international languages) and Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT): A 10-Session Filial Therapy Model and an accompanying Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) Treatment Manual. Director Emeritus of the Association for Play Therapy (APT). Received APT Lifetime Achievement Award and Research Award. Recipient of the Virginia Axline Distinguished Professional Award for his work in conceptualising and advancing the child-centered approach to play therapy.
