ENABLING CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS TO SPEAK ABOUT FEELINGS THROUGH ART AND CLAY

About the training day

This day will be an introduction and exploration in enabling children to communicate their feelings through the medium of art and clay. The day will include case examples of working therapeutically with art and clay, and experiential workshops. The day aims to support the participant to gain confidence in enabling a child to speak about their feelings through these powerful art forms.


Trainer: Sophia Condaris

Sophia is a Dramatherapist and an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings spending many years working in psychiatry in the NHS. She currently works at Family Futures, which is an adoption support agency, with children who are adopted and their families. Sophia has been a trainer on various training courses including the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education in several capacities. She has a particular interest in the therapeutic application of story in therapy including traditional tales and personal narrative.
