How Adverse Childhood Experiences Make Children Prone to Radicalisation - What Can Be Done By Schools to Address Radicalisation

How Adverse Childhood Experiences Make Children Prone to Radicalisation - What Can Be Done By Schools to Address Radicalisation

About the event

Radicalisation from the inside:
What would drive a 15-year-old boy to become involved in the dangerous world of militant left-wing politics and anti-fascism?

From a chance encounter on a village football pitch, to violent encounters with police and fascists on the streets of London and Dover, this is the story of how, for four years, Rob Allen became embroiled in a world that he was not prepared for- and how he eventually got himself out again.

Subject matter includes:

  • How political grooming works
  • The role music plays in subcultures
  • Why radical politics are a draw for vulnerable children
  • How single-issue political organisations are used as a front by groups with wider agendas
  • Signs and indications that children are becoming radicalised
  • What can be done by schools to address radicalisation by the far-left and the far-right.
