Using Polyvagal Theory to Help Children and Young People Overcome Panic and Anxiety

Using Polyvagal Theory to Help Children and Young People Overcome Panic and Anxiety

About the event

In this presentation, Karen Stallard will share creative ways in which practitioners can use Polyvagal theory to help children and young people regulate and reflect. Polyvagal Theory was developed by Dr Stephen Porges (2011) to help us understand the body's response to stress and danger.

Previous knowledge of Polyvagal theory is not needed for this presentation, a brief overview will be given and some time will be spent sharing practical exercises, suitable for all ages which can be used with groups and individuals.
