About Dr Dan Hughes

Dan Hughes is one of the most famous child psychologists in the world; a top clinician, prolific writer and founder of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. His ways of working with traumatised children and teenagers through relational change are highly effective and profoundly moving. Dan both discusses and demonstrates how practitioners and parents can use PACE in their work to enable the very best connection with children and young people. He shows how to actively communicate empathy and acceptance of the child while providing him/her with the comforting and containment needed to explore and resolve past trauma and shame-related experiences. Through moving case material Dan explores how, within the safety of an on-going relationship where PACE is uphold throughout, the child is able to finally face and resolve his/her past traumas.
