CBT Principles in Working Therapeutically with Adults and Teenagers

CBT Principles in Working Therapeutically with Adults and Teenagers

About this event

  • 7 hours
  • Mobile eTicket

Brief Overview

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. Unlike some other therapies, CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.

On this training day, Jamie Binnie will explore key underlying theory, practice and principles in CBT. He will use engaging case material and provide take away practical tools and techniques to show how CBT can help people to: a) change troubling thoughts and behaviours; b) alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression; c) enjoy life with a far calmer less frightened mind. Many teenagers find it such a huge relief to know they have control over the negative thoughts they are having and so are able to bring positive changes to their day-to-day living.
